Each year teams may nominate individuals/teams
for the Awards below;
then voting slips are distributed for
teams to register their votes with results
being kept secret until revealed at
the Annual Dinner Dance and
Presentation Evening.
‘Chic' Team of the Year
Secretary of the Year
‘Man' of the Year
Novice Umpire of the Year
Umpire of the Year
Sportsgirl (U21) of the Year - participation and sportsmanship both on
and
off the court.
Sportswoman of the Year - participation and sportsmanship both on and off
the court.
Sportsmanship Team of the Year - participation
and sportsmanship both on and off the court.
Downes Award – This is when Wolverhampton
League Umpires vote for favourite teams from a sporting viewpoint.
Lon-Playing Award - Players who have played within W-ton continuously
(apart from injury, maternity, etc). Having started with players from 1954
we are now up to the 1970's.

The Council's ‘Merit Award' is presented for the contribution to Netball in the
area of W-ton.
